Strengthening Dayana Foundation’s role in empowering female prospective Indonesian migrant workers (CPMI) through programs that provide direct benefits to the community while creating communication value for the organization.
Mega Bintang Akademi developed the Community Empowerment & Strategic Communication approach by integrating empowerment, literacy, community engagement, and organizational communication into one program.
This approach is designed so that empowerment activities do not stop as social actions, but produce outputs that serve as communication media strengthening stakeholder relations.
The program was realized through writing training and mentoring for female CPMI, ranging from idea development and participants’ experiences to compilation and book publication.
The program produced a book as a tangible empowerment and literacy output. Participants created published works documenting their experiences, perspectives, and learning process.
Through this program, female CPMI gained space to build capacity and share their perspectives through published works.
For the organization, the program creates community engagement and communication value, supporting Dayana Foundation’s positioning in migrant worker empowerment.
